The other area I would call out is is travel centers of America where it's been slightly slower than we expected in terms of recovery from the trucking recession. We see green shoots. It's starting to improve. I think we're probably a year further out in terms of seeing full recovery. That's more likely to come through in twenty twenty six now.

And then we're also in action, you talked about in procurement as a potential saving, Marie, earlier. In May we completed the acquisition of Travel Centers of America, TA, adding a network of 288 sites strategically located on major highways across the United States. Mecca gave me a map of this that I have on my desk and it really is phenomenal to look at because you see the extensive highway network in America and now we have dots and sites on virtually every one of them in 44 states. And TA is expected to almost double BP's global convenience growth margin and bring growth opportunities in four of our five transition growth engines. And in the first half excluding TA we delivered record convenience growth margin with around 7% year on year growth, that's on top of I think Emma 9% per annum over the previous three years.

And the work of all of that, along with reorganization that occurred to move to a much more central model with agile squads, is really starting to pay off. I think the number was $14 a barrel, lifting costs back in 2012 or 2013, and we're all the way to sub-six now and aspiring to hold that moving forward. That's really about the fact that we spent years and years and years streamlining all our data, thanks to help from Palantir, a great partner we have, They really helped us clean up our data so that everybody would have it at their fingertips. That enabled us to centralize many of the teams around the globe, from the drillers to the reservoir engineers to the explorers. And another big thing we did in the background is we put in place a single SAP system across the upstream, including a purchasing package. And that purchasing package now really coming to bear where we're able to do offshore work remotely. So in October, we're going to host an away day for the upstream and Archaea. And at that, we'll do a few showcases on the brilliant stories that we're seeing out of this, one that captured my imagination last quarter. was that the operators on Chehalion can actually plan and do the entire work onshore. So they don't have to travel back and forth on helicopters offshore to plan a trip. They have the laser sighting that can put up all the architecture of scaffolding, et cetera, onshore in a virtual model. They bring the contractors in to work through the work packs. And all

One, if I can come back to the buyback, and, Marie, you referenced the working cap impact from last quarter to this quarter, but there is a loss of volatility, it seems like, in those numbers. So do you ever think about moving to something that's slightly more stable in terms of that framework?
