But You know, we do quite a bit of travel in that work. I know we just picked up a major project in Idaho. We're doing some projects up in Utah as well. So we'll travel for some of the bigger projects. But as we do M&A, as you think about the future, we'll build out that footprint.

So the first part of that question is, so all of our residential branches can basically do the light commercial work, It's very similar products, very similar applications, so that labor will transfer and transfer easily between jobs and between geographies. On the heavy commercial, which as Rob pointed to some impressive numbers there, you don't transfer the residential light commercial labor over to the heavy commercial. That's really dedicated to that business because it's higher technical and different applications. Now, those crews can travel. Those crews do travel. among cities. So definitely transferable within light commercial, definitely transferable within heavy commercial.

Adjusted operating profit in the third quarter grew 35.2% to $137.4 million, with a corresponding margin improvement of 170 basis points to 16.3%, driven by the same positive factors that I just mentioned that led to gross margin improvement, but partially offset by increased travel and entertainment activity, and the initial absorption of fixed cost of new acquisitions.

The year-over-year decrease as a percentage of sales was primarily the result of higher sales partially offset by increased travel and entertainment and the initial absorption of fixed cost of acquisitions.

Both adjusted operating and EBITDA margin improvements were driven by the previously mentioned factors impacting gross margin, as well as lower stock-based compensation expense, reduced travel and entertainment activity, lower legal fees, and continued good leverage on our fixed overhead.

The only thing I need to point out, and we've talked about this multiple times, is we have benefited from certain line items that were, you know, under normal spending levels due to COVID. And, you know, the best examples I can give you are things like travel and entertainment, group health costs where people have deferred elective surgeries and or trips to the doctor, and even items that affect our gross profit like shop supplies, which are things like N95 masks where, you know, a year ago, We weren't, obviously, able to buy some of those things. We didn't have people attending the doctor's office, and our travel and entertainment was low. So those are starting to normalize, and I think the back half of this year, you're going to see those numbers, you know, normalize closer to historical levels.

Certain line items like travel and entertainment and group health, which we will start to normalize, have started to normalize, and will continue to normalize throughout 2021.

From a T&E standpoint, you know, Robert and I and the team are going to do everything we can, obviously, to minimize those numbers normalizing back to historical levels.

The travel and entertainment touches on primarily SG&A, but then the group health, shop supplies will be more on the gross profit side. So roughly 50-50 split if you had to split it.
